Our Team
Gabe Lipkowitz
Hi, I'm Gabe! I'm passionate about the intersection of design 🎨 and technology 🤖 in the context of interactive 3D applications.📱 In my free time, I love cycling 🚴, visiting art museums 🏛️, and seeking out good coffee ☕️. I also love to explore cities. 🏙️ More than happy to chat about anything related to research or outside of research!

Bryan Kuok
Hi, I’m Bryan! I love creating and building things🔨, which is probably why I ended up in Mechanical Engineering. BUT, I’m equally obsessed with product design🎨 and liberal arts🧠. I enjoy wrestling with difficult problems, whether it’s a knotty engineering challenge or an entrenched social issue🧐.
I’ve always believed that asking the right questions matters more than giving the right answer to the wrong question. Tough questions push us to widen our perspectives and seek for the right questions to ask (Will we ever know what’s the ‘right’ question? Calling all Hitchhiker’s Guide fans to debate!)
Right now, I’m dedicating myself to imagining and creating a more hopeful tomorrow🌈, one where technology intersects with humanities.

Andreas Garcia
I'm Andreas, a graduate student in media technology who enjoys building things where technology actually feels good to use. My background sits between software engineering, interaction design, and visual systems, and I care a lot about how people experience what I build, not just whether it works.
I like systems that are clean, intentional, and a little opinionated.I have a deep and slightly unhealthy love for anything and everything Swift related. Swift is the language where things click for me. I enjoy its clarity, its strictness, and the way it encourages writing code that is both safe and expressive. When I am working within the Apple ecosystem, I'm in my element.
At the moment, my research at NUS focuses on human-centered medical solutions using spatial computing, with Apple Vision Pro as the main platform. I am exploring how immersive and spatial interfaces can support healthcare professionals and patients in areas spanning from surgical simulations to exercise interventions. The motivation is simple for me: Technology should reduce friction, not add to it.

Vina Setiawaty
Hi! I'm Vina, an Industrial Design student and I believe that design is the bridge between human and technology! My interest lies in exploring how we can utilise emerging technology such as spatial computing and artificial intelligence to enhance our daily lives and interaction. Driven by curiosity and a passion for design, I aim to integrate technology into everyday life in ways that feel intuitive, natural, and enriching.

Douglas Ong
Hey there, I’m Douglas! I’m an industrial designer with a passion for the big picture, approaching product, service, and systems design through a multidisciplinary research-first lens, to translate insights into compelling design strategies. My process is grounded by empathy, through observing users, studying workflows, and questioning assumptions to understand systemic problems before crafting solutions.
I’m currently applying this mindset to human-computer interaction in healthcare, exploring how emerging technologies can be meaningfully integrated into medical contexts to improve real-world outcomes. To frame my work, I communicate my narratives using visual and spatial media as a conduit, to represent concepts as an immersive and resonant experience.
Outside of work, I love photography, tinkering with old analog cameras and have a great fascination with tea! I also love traveling and immersing myself in new cultures to widen my horizons - 13 countries, 42 cities, and counting!

Tianle Ren
Hi, this is Tianle, I care deeply about human connections, how people see, think, feel, decide, and make sense of the world. That’s what led me into becoming a researcher in Human–Computer Interaction field.I love diving deep into problems just as much as I love diving deep into the ocean, so I spend most of my vacations living and freediving on an island called Koh Tao, where the sea makes me feel most at home and most grounded. If you’re curious, here’s a small glimpse into my world: tianleren.com, always open to connecting with people who share a common interest!

Charles Cai
Hey, I’m Charles, an enthusiast of human-computer interaction, 3D modeling, photography, and a die-hard Boston Celtics fan. My research interests lie at the intersection of human-computer interaction and computer graphics. I’m particularly interested in developing novel interaction techniques and tools to facilitate the creation of 3D content. This vision has guided my journey from Shanghai, to Berkeley, to Berlin, and now to Singapore, as I seek deeper insights and expertise in these areas.

Daniel Li
Hi, I’m Daniel! I explore how people interact with virtual systems by building playful, interactive experiences using immersive tech 🎮 and game design 🎲. I’m especially interested in how games can be tools for storytelling 📖, thinking 🤔, and change 🌱.
Outside of work, I love indie games, sketching ideas ✏️, and reading books 📚. Let’s talk XR, narrative systems, or weird game mechanics 🌀 — always up for a good chat! ☕️

Arnav Goel
Hey there! I’m Arnav 👨🏻💻 A Computer Science student passionate about AI models 🤖, creative problem-solving, and all things tech. I’m always up for a good CTF challenge 🔐, geeking out over Christopher Nolan films 🎬, or experimenting with photography 📸. Outside the digital world, I love exploring new cities 🌍, trying out unique dishes 🍜, playing board games 🎲, and rewatching FRIENDS for the hundredth time.

Maahir Garg
Hi, I’m Maahir! I’m endlessly curious about how humans see, sense, and solve — which is why I spend most of my time blending immersive tech 🥽, data, and a dash of imagination 🧙♂️ to build meaningful, interactive 3D experiences. Outside the lab, you’ll find me behind a drum kit 🥁, on a chessboard ♟️, or deep into a badminton rally 🏸. I’m also that person who’s always ready to overanalyze sci-fi plots and explore new cities with coffee in hand ☕️. Let’s talk VR, AI, or why Percy Jackson was probably right all along ⚡ — I’m always up for a good chat!
